52-year-old woman who can't feel pain

Leticia Marsili, a 52-year-old marine ecotoxicology researcher at Siena University, Italy was the focal person on this as she was the one who caught the eye of scientists in her workplace with her immunity to pain. Upon investigation into this phenomenon that she, and members of her family, had shown, it was found that this is actually something that had to do with their genes. Apparently, the generation before Leticia had undergone a genetic mutation that had affected the genes linked to feeling pain.
